Meet Our Health Care Professionals

JOHN VANSUSTERN, P.T.
Physical Therapist
John is a 1987 graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison and has been practicing physical therapy for over 32 years. With deep roots in the Lake Geneva area and a passion for helping people move better, John brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to every patient he treats.

Over the years, he has developed a strong clinical focus in treating sports injuries, back and neck pain, and work-related injuries, while also working extensively in neurology, rehabilitation, and orthopedics. His diverse background allows him to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and lifestyle.
Prior to founding Lakes Area Physical Therapy in 1998, John served as Director of Physical Therapy, where he led clinical operations and mentored new therapists.
John’s mission is simple: to provide patient-centered care that promotes healing, strength, and long-term wellness. Whether you're recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or looking to prevent future injury, you're in expert hands.

When he’s not in the clinic, you can find John enjoying the great outdoors. He’s an avid cyclist, enthusiastic hiker, and embraces the snowy Wisconsin winters with his love for winter sports.
